1. Introduction
Netch Creative Ltd. ("Netch Creative", "we", "us" or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting Personal Information in our custody or under our control. This Privacy Policy (the "Policy") describes how we collect, use, disclose, store, transfer, retain and protect Personal Information in connection with: (a) the Wrangler VFX iPad application (the "App"); and (b) our websites and web portal, including wranglervfx.com and app.wranglervfx.com (collectively, the "Website"). The App, Website and related services are referred to in this Policy as the "Services".
This Policy is intended to comply with applicable Canadian privacy laws, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (Canada) ("PIPEDA") and the Personal Information Protection Act (British Columbia) ("BC PIPA"), as applicable. We may also implement additional measures where required by other laws depending on where you are located.
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read and understand this Policy and consent to the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information as described in this Policy, subject to applicable law.
2. Definitions
"Personal Information" means information about an identifiable individual, including as defined under applicable privacy laws. Personal Information does not include information that cannot reasonably be associated with an identifiable individual (for example, de-identified or aggregated information). Under BC PIPA, "business contact information" may be excluded from certain requirements when used solely for contacting an individual in their business capacity.
"Customer Data" means data, files, content, records and information that you or your organization create, upload, store, sync, or otherwise submit to the Services, including production-related metadata and reference images captured or imported through the App. Customer Data may include Personal Information depending on what you choose to enter, capture, or upload.

4. Scope: Offline-First Design and Cloud Sync
Wrangler VFX is designed as an "offline-first" professional tool. Production data is stored locally on your iPad as the primary copy. Cloud sync is optional, subscription-dependent, and user-initiated. If you enable cloud sync, certain projects and related metadata are stored in our cloud environment to support synchronization and access.
5. Personal Information We Collect
We collect Personal Information that is reasonable for the purposes identified in this Policy. Depending on how you use the Services, we may collect:
5.1 Account and Identity Information
- Full name (if provided)
- Email address
- Account authentication information (for example, login identifiers and authentication tokens)
- Multi-factor authentication configuration (if enabled)
5.2 Device and Usage Information
- Device identifier(s) used for seat licensing and device management
- Basic technical and security logs relating to use of the Services (which may include IP address when you interact with the Website or cloud services)
5.3 Payment and Billing Information
- Subscription status, plan tier, billing cycle (monthly/annual), and transaction identifiers
- Limited billing contact information provided to us by our payment processor(s). We do not receive or store full payment card numbers.
5.4 Support and Communications
- Information you provide when you contact us for support or communicate with us (including any information you choose to include in support tickets)
5.5 Customer Data (Production Data)
Customer Data is primarily professional production metadata and work product. Customer Data may incidentally include Personal Information depending on your usage. Customer Data may include (without limitation):
- Project metadata (project name, production company, dates)
- Slate/shot data (scene, shot, take, VFX work descriptions)
- Camera and lens metadata (camera model, serial number, lens, focal length, filters, height, tilt, roll)
- HDRI capture logs (file name, exposure details, suffix tags)
- Witness camera setups
- Reference photos and annotations (captured via the iPad camera)
- Gear library entries (cameras, lenses, filters owned or rented)
- Character/talent names per shot
- Drawn notes and sketches
- CSV/PDF export reports
6. How We Collect Personal Information
We collect Personal Information through:
- Direct interactions with you (for example, when you create an account, subscribe through the web portal, contact support, or enter information into the App)
- Automated means when you use the Website or cloud features (for example, device identifiers and security logs)
- Service providers that perform services on our behalf (for example, authentication and payment processing), to the extent necessary to provide the Services
7. Purposes for Which We Use Personal Information
We use Personal Information for the following purposes:
- To provide, operate, maintain and improve the Services, including authentication, account management and customer support
- To administer subscriptions, billing and payments, and to verify subscription status
- To enforce seat/device limits, deter fraud and misuse, and maintain the security and integrity of the Services
- To communicate with you about the Services, including administrative messages, operational notices and support communications
- To comply with legal obligations and to enforce our agreements, policies and rights
- For other purposes with your consent or as permitted or required by law
8. Consent
We obtain consent for the collection, use and disclosure of Personal Information as required by applicable law. Depending on the circumstances and sensitivity of the information, consent may be express or implied. You may withdraw consent at any time by providing reasonable notice, subject to legal or contractual restrictions. If you withdraw consent, we may not be able to provide all or part of the Services (for example, account access or cloud sync).
9. Disclosure of Personal Information
We do not sell or rent Personal Information. We disclose Personal Information only as described below, with your consent, or as permitted or required by law.
9.1 Service Providers (Subprocessors)
We use service providers to support the Services and process Personal Information on our behalf, including:
- Cloud infrastructure and storage (Amazon Web Services, including services such as S3, DynamoDB and Cognito)
- Payment processing (Stripe)
- Web hosting and delivery (Vercel)
- App distribution (Apple App Store)
- Optional integrations initiated by you (for example, Autodesk ShotGrid/Flow exports)
Service providers are authorized to process Personal Information only as necessary to provide services to us, and are contractually required to protect Personal Information and to use it only for the purposes we specify.
9.2 Legal, Compliance and Protection
We may disclose Personal Information where we believe it is necessary to: (a) comply with applicable law, a lawful request, or legal process; (b) protect the rights, property, safety or security of Netch Creative, our users or others; (c) detect, prevent, or address fraud, security or technical issues; or (d) enforce our agreements and policies.
9.3 Business Transactions
We may disclose Personal Information as part of a prospective or completed business transaction (for example, financing, merger, acquisition, corporate reorganization, or sale of assets), subject to applicable law and appropriate confidentiality and security safeguards.
10. Cross-Border Transfers
Some of our service providers may process or store Personal Information outside of Canada (for example, in the United States). When Personal Information is processed outside Canada, it may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed and may be accessible to law enforcement and national security authorities in that jurisdiction. We use contractual and other safeguards designed to provide an appropriate level of protection for cross-border transfers, as required by applicable law. You may contact the Privacy Officer for information about our policies and practices relating to service providers outside Canada.
11. Security Safeguards
We maintain administrative, technical and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the Personal Information. Our safeguards include access controls, encryption in transit, and security monitoring. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is completely secure.
11.1 On-Device Security
Production data stored locally in the App is protected using iOS security features and encryption (including AES-256-GCM via Apple CryptoKit), with encryption keys stored in the iOS Keychain and file protection controls applied to project files.
11.2 Cloud Security (Optional)
When cloud sync is enabled, data is transmitted using transport encryption (TLS/SSL) and stored in our cloud environment using encryption at rest features made available by our cloud service providers.
12. Retention and Deletion
We retain Personal Information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, and for legitimate business and legal purposes (for example, recordkeeping and compliance).
12.1 Customer Data
- Local production data stored on your iPad remains on your device unless you delete it.
- If you enable cloud sync and your subscription ends, cloud-synced Customer Data may be retained for up to 30 days to allow you to renew and recover data; after that period it may be permanently deleted.
12.2 Account Deletion
You may request deletion of your account from within the App. Account deletion includes a 14-day grace period during which deletion can be cancelled via an email link. After completion of deletion, account information and associated cloud data will be deleted or de-identified, subject to any legally required retention.
13. Your Rights: Access, Correction and Withdrawal of Consent
Subject to applicable law, you may request access to your Personal Information, request correction of inaccuracies, or withdraw consent. We may require you to verify your identity before responding. We may decline a request where permitted or required by law.

14. Cookies and Similar Technologies
Our Website and web portal may use cookies or similar technologies for session management, security, and performance. You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you disable cookies, parts of the Website may not function properly. We do not use the Services for behavioural advertising or to sell Personal Information.
15. Third-Party Links and Services
The Services may contain links to third-party websites or services (including optional integrations). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of third parties. We encourage you to review their privacy policies before providing Personal Information to them.
16. Children
The Services are intended for professional users and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect Personal Information from children. If you believe that a child has provided Personal Information to us, please contact the Privacy Officer so that we can take appropriate steps.
17. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy on our Website and may provide additional notice in the App or by email where appropriate. If we make material changes to how we collect, use or disclose Personal Information, we will take steps to notify you and, where required by law, obtain your consent.

Depending on your circumstances, you may also have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
